The Leadership Development Committee creates learning programs and materials to support the development of chapter leaders and the succession planning process. It also promotes chapter leadership opportunities and professional skills development to the membership at large.

All Team Meetings
This committee plans three leadership meetings per year, gathering all MPI MN committee members and their chairs to meet, exchange ideas with other chapter leaders and learn more about each other’s committees.

Emerging Leaders
Every day, our newer MPI MN members are looking for ways to expand their horizons and their networks. This award-winning committee delivers four programs a year with content developed to aid those wanting to advance their careers and develop leadership skills. Click here to learn more.

Mentoring: Power of 2
The Power of 2 mentoring program is available to all current members of MPI MN. This award-winning program matches volunteer mentors with mentees for a three-month commitment. Mentoring is available to members at any stage in their career who are seeking to develop new skills or make progress toward professional goals. Click here to learn more. Please contact Lisa Anne Venne if you have any questions or to request additional information on the MPI MN Mentoring Power of 2 program.

Progressive Leadership
The focus of this committee is to provide concentrated leadership programming and tools for all members within our chapter. This group provides content and is in charge of the January monthly meeting focusing on progressive leadership. It also is developing additional leadership programming online and through newsletter articles.

Student Leadership Challenge
Student Leadership delivers mentorship, education and professional growth opportunities to students as they transition into the meetings industry through developing ongoing connections/partnerships between industry professionals and students in the industry.
Time commitment: Flexible to help enhance your industry experience
