The Vice President and Director are responsible for planning and implementing ten monthly programs, providing innovative and quality education topics and opportunities for professional and personal growth for MPI MN members.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month
CMP Study Group
Conducting twice yearly CMP boot camps.
Time commitment: 3 to 10 hours per session
Holiday Party and Gala Events
Recruiting and taking the lead in program planning, especially at the Holiday Party and the May Awards program.
Time commitment: 2 to 5 hours per month
Joint Education Event
Planning and implementation of a one-day event consisting of a full day of education as well as a supplier showcase for members in the MN and WI chapters. This team plans quality educational opportunities to meet supplier and planner needs. Responsible for speaker selection, implementation of the Supplier Showcase (tradeshow), marketing this event, and logistics.
Time commitment: 1 to 10 hrs per month (ramping up to 10 as event nears)
Senior Planner Circle of Excellence
Who is the Senior Planner Circle of Excellence group? Are you a senior meeting planner with at least seven years of experience working for a corporation, association or yourself as an independent meeting planner? If so, you will be interested in joining this group to collaborate, benchmark and obtain education for career growth opportunities from a network of extensive expertise.
Is this a new group? The name Senior Planner Circle of Excellence (SPCOE) replaces our previous name, The Affinity Group, to simply clarify who we are.
When do we meet? Based on feedback and in order to be respectful of everyone’s time, meetings will be held monthly in conjunction with the Monthly Education Meetings—either prior to or immediately following for one hour.
